Reaching children through sports

 

 

In every country we visit there is one common denominator, SPORTS. The children we meet love to throw, bounce or hit a ball. We have witnessed coaches and their teams practice on rocky dirt roads with little to no equipment. Their passion for sports was evident and the lack of equipment did not stop them from practicing together in hopes to one day be able to play a real game against other teams.

 

On almost every mission trip, AOTK host a sports tournament which teaches the children the value of working as a team to achieve a goal. Hundreds of youth gather together for prayer, training and friendly competition which ends with a first place team who is awarded a trophy, something many of them have never received.

 

We decided it was time to reach out to our AOTK family and sports lovers to help us get these children the proper sports equipment so that their dreams may become a reality. Together we can DO SOMETHING. We can help these children live out their dreams of becoming a basketball, soccer, baseball or volleyball player.

 

 

We will take gently used sports equipment for any of the above mentioned sports.
